Shorterm Group are working with a well-established and forward-thinking sub-contract manufacturer based in Fareham, specialising in the aerospace and oil & gas industries. They are currently seeking an experienced Grinder to join their team and support ongoing high-quality production work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of grinding machinery including the Ultramat Easy Grinder, along with Surface Grinding, Honing, and Lapping processes.
- Set and adjust machine offsets to achieve precise and repeatable manufacturing results.
- Work with High Tensile and Ultra High Tensile materials to exacting tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and orderly working environment in line with company standards.
- Complete relevant documentation, such as route cards and inspection records, accurately and efficiently.
Required Experience:
- Experience in precision grinding within an AS9100 Rev D environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Familiarity with tight tolerance machining.
Measurement & Inspection Equipment:
- Confident using Micrometers & Groove Micrometers (Metric & Imperial)
- Bore Clocks, Surface Testers, Air Gauges
- Height Gauges, Plug Gauges, Comparators
