Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor in Bedford. We are seeking a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to work with care leavers, including those who are Children with Disabilities (CWD) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), supporting their transition to independence and adulthood. This is a vital, high-demand role, requiring a confident and capable professional who can hit the ground running.
Pay rate: £22.47 PAYE / £28 Umbrella per hour
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of care leavers aged 16–25, including UASC and CWD
- Undertake Pathway Plans, risk assessments, and regular statutory visits
- Liaise with housing, education, health, and partner agencies to meet young people’s needs
- Provide practical and emotional support to prepare care leavers for independence
- Maintain accurate, timely case records using Liquidlogic Children’s System (LCS)
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of young people, including occasional travel across the UK
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own car
- Experience as a Personal Advisor in a statutory Leaving Care setting
- Strong working knowledge of Leaving Care legislation, UASC needs, and CWD
