We are hiring for a full-time HR Advisor position based in Billericay, Essex. This role is temporary (maternity cover) and will report to the CFO.

The Opportunity

This is a unique role offering exposure to international HR operations across Europe and the US. You will work closely with senior leadership (CFO, COO, CEO) to align our people strategy with our commercial goals. If you are both strategic and hands-on, with a passion for compliance, culture, and continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive HR support and guidance to managers and staff
  • Implement and improve HR policies, processes, and documentation
  • Handle employee relations, performance, and absence management
  • Support salary reviews, benefits, and appraisals
  • Lead on engagement and retention initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices

Operational HR & Administration

  • Prepare contracts, starter packs, and changes to employment terms
  • Maintain HR records, systems, and documentation (digital & paper)
  • Support onboarding, inductions, and leaver processes
  • Manage maternity, paternity, and flexible working requests
  • Produce reports and assist with board-level insights

Payroll & Compliance

  • Liaise with payroll and benefits providers in the UK, Europe & US
  • Ensure accuracy in monthly payroll inputs and HR data
  • Monitor right to work, visa, and other legal HR obligations

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Confident advising senior leadership and influencing outcomes
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
  • Experience in international HR (desirable)
  • Proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office
