Silcom Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a premium and growing independent motor trade business in their latest phase of expansion, based in Swindon. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join their professional and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on and experienced Senior Service Advisor with a strong motor trade background, looking to take the next step in their career with a business that is committed to growth, quality service, and professional development.
The role is varied and will see you managing both front-of-house duties and supporting the efficient operation of the workshop floor. You’ll be a key link between customers and technicians ensuring exceptional service delivery and workshop productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle all front-of-house duties including customer enquiries, bookings, and service updates.
- Liaise with technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely job completion.
- Manage day-to-day workshop operations, including job allocation and parts ordering.
- Ensure accurate completion of job cards, invoicing, and service documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle any concerns with a proactive approach.
- Contribute to operational decisions and ongoing service improvement.
- Assist in maintaining workshop compliance and health & safety standards.
- Opportunity to complete MOT Management Training – fully supported by the business.
The Package:
- Basic Salary: Up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm + No Weekends – enjoy a great work-life balance
