Location: Leighton Buzzard, LU7 9LF

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 16:30

Rate: £12.50 per hour PAYE / £14.00 PAYE (inc. holiday)

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operative to join our client in Leighton Buzzard on an immediate start basis. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate weighbridge tickets for all inbound and outbound loads
• Communicate with site staff via radio to coordinate vehicle loading
• Ensure all drivers and visitors wear correct PPE
• Notify drivers of overweight vehicles and enforce credit stop procedures
• Monitor, record, and report any weighbridge issues (damage, cleanliness, accuracy)
• Check inbound documentation for compliance and complete outbound paperwork to legal standards
• Keep the weighbridge office clean and organised
• Ensure all drivers and visitors follow site rules
• Answer telephone calls in a professional manner
• Work with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient site operations
• Uphold health & safety standards, including PPE use and incident reporting
