We require an Area Operations Manager based across London and Kent, with Responsible Individual responsibilities for 4 EBD Ofsted registered children's homes (Greenford UB6, Croydon CR8, Herne Bay x2 CT6). The role will be available from mid-June 2025, with phone screenings and formal interviews likely to commence ASAP.
The ideal candidate will have experience as an Ofsted Responsible Individual. We will also consider experienced RMs stepping up, who can evidence a good track record with Ofsted and that they are ready to make that step. All candidates must have experience in management in Ofsted children's homes and must be able to evidence this through providing URNs and Ofsted reports, with them named as RM or RI.
Ideally, you will spend 1 day/week in each home and 1 day from home (can be discussed).
Successful candidates for Area Operations Manager and RI will need to possess the following:
- You must have a minimum of 2 years in a senior position within a residential childcare setting.
- RM or RI.
- Hold a QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma.
- Hold a minimum Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.
- Experience in managing, leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting.
- Full UK Manual Driving License - MUST DRIVE ESSENTIAL.
