Company: New Way Tuition Limited Hours: Varied – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM during school term time Position Summary: New Way Tuition Limited is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Outreach Tutors. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing education and mentoring to students who do not attend mainstream education due to reasons such as SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion. This is a deeply rewarding role with abundant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions in subjects including basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring, conducted at pupils\’ homes, local libraries, and schools. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Literacy and Maths, alongside experience working with children, including those with SEND. Our students range from EYFS to Year 11, and we operate up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels. A current Enhanced DBS is essential. Duties and Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver lessons using provided learning materials and curriculum under the guidance of Area Learning Managers. * Conduct baseline assessments for pupils in their first week of tuition and track progress through reassessments. * Deliver sessions to pupils, typically lasting 2-3 hours per session. * Maintain detailed weekly reports and mentoring logs for each pupil. * Remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns and report any issues promptly. * Attend staff meetings and regular training sessions. Training, Skills, and Qualifications: Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with diverse age groups, is essential. * QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or Bachelor\’s degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related field is preferred but not essential. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student success. * Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. * AC grades in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications. Working Hours: * Sessions are primarily scheduled during school hours (9:00 AM 3:00 PM), with occasional sessions before or after these times. * Term times only. * Mandatory evening training sessions/meetings will be scheduled for all staff. Rate of Pay: * Competitive * Selfemployed or payment through an umbrella company. * Weekly pay!
