EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a precision engineering company located in Nottingham. Our client is a specialist in manufacturing precision-engineering components and supplies to a number of lucrative companies worldwide. Due to the latest expansion, they are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their fast-paced and stimulating working environment.

What will you be doing?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, identify a route/method of manufacture, and ensure deadlines are met and SOP's are created for manufacturing teams to follow. Other responsibilities will include supporting the transfers of work for internal and external elements of the manufacturing process, and continuously improving engineering policies, standards and procedures.

What experience do you need?

  • Strong engineering background within a precision engineering / advanced manufacturing environment - ideally aerospace but other industries will be considered, i.e. automotive / motorsport, F1, defence, MOD, Marine, etc.
  • Ability to create programs using CAD CAM (Catia V5 & Vericut is highly advantageous).
  • Experience in taking full product ownership and liaising with shop floor personnel to achieve business targets.
  • Worked within companies that manufacture small to medium parts through CNC machining processes.
