Are you a hands-on, driven leader with a passion for keeping a workshop running like a well-oiled machine? We’re working with a respected independent specialist who’s on the hunt for an experienced Workshop Controller to take the reins of their busy and successful workshop.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of 8 skilled technicians, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. With no manufacturer red tape, you’ll have the freedom to make real decisions and a genuine impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing workflow and job allocation across the workshop
  • Ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently met
  • Acting as the bridge between technicians and service advisors
  • Supporting and mentoring your team to help them perform at their best
  • Monitoring job progress, parts availability, and deadlines

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller in a busy workshop
  • Strong technical knowledge (ideally in an independent or specialist environment)
  • Leadership skills with a cool head under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

What’s On Offer

  • £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
  • Monday–Friday only (8am–5pm – no weekends!)
  • 22 days’ holiday + bank holidays
