This is a Network Analyst position, primarily providing remote network support services to facilities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) and globally when required. The EAME Network services team provide LAN/WLAN/WAN incident and project support to all facilities in EAME. The position will report to the EAME Network services supervisor, based in the UK.
The successful candidate will primarily be providing level 2/3 Network helpdesk support to EAME based facilities, including factories, offices, and warehouses. Secondary functions will include small project LAN design and supporting regional facilities with request fulfilment and advice. Training will be provided.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience of Cisco network technologies
- Cisco CCNA qualification
- Second language is an advantage
Knowledge:
- Cisco familiarity including IOS upgrade, WLC controller configuration
- Cisco Router and Switch configuration
- Familiarity with firewall designs
- Understanding of related technologies (DNS, DHCP)
- Fault finding skills
- Good documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of a Ticketing software (Remedy/Peregrine)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Putty, and other Network tools
