The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Our client are a well respected supplier of construction materials to a mixture of commercial and residential sites across the Staffordshire and surrounding areas. They are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join their busy branch and help manage a fleet of 12 vehicles.
The job responsibilities include:
- Scheduling of all deliveries, via ERP system.
- Management of documentation required for deliveries, collections and balanced orders.
- Liaising with Yard foreman and yard staff to control flow of picking loads, loading vehicles, unloading vehicles and general house keeping.
- Liaising with Operations Manager to ensure six week and annual inspections for vehicles and cranes are maintained.
- Ensuring compliance with Operator licence requirements.
- Ensuring compliance of driver hour regulations.
- Ensuring all plant and machinery are kept in good repair.
- Liaising with vehicle and crane and TMFL suppliers/service.
- Collating defect reports from drivers.
- Accident management including checking the completed forms, making sure the reporting procedure is followed and assisting with the paperwork.
- Managing fuel cards.
- Liaising with the Health and Safety manager to ensure regulations for the business promote a working environment that is safe for customers and colleagues.
- Assist on Trade Counter if required.
- Carry out other duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role.
- To adhere to Health and Safety standards according to the company policy for both customers, colleagues and yourself.
- Thorough knowledge of manual handling guidelines in day to day activities.
- To attend work clean, smart and wearing the company uniform and relevant protective clothing for job requirement.
