Macildowie are working with a fantastic client based in Nuneaton to recruit a Cost Accountant on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business, renowned for its quality products and nationwide distribution.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of costings across the site, working closely with operations, R&D and commercial teams. Acting as a finance business partner, you'll take ownership of product item costings, develop cost standards and support the business in new product development processes.
Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on product costings for the site, including NPD setups and processes
- Collaborate with R&D and Operations to maintain accuracy in BOMs and process alignment
- Conduct cost-volume-profit analysis and maintain integrity of cost standards
- Provide financial oversight for cost of goods sold within the P&L
About You:
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or actively studying, QBE also considered
- Strong analytical skills and prior costing experience essential
- Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
- Experience with AX Dynamics advantageous
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
