Multiple roles available in a mainstream Secondary School (L4). These jobs are available on a full-time and part-time basis, for emergency cover, absences (short-term and long-term) as well as gaps in staffing.

Start date: September 2025

Competitive rate £90 - £100 per day. School experience is not required to be successful in these roles.

A mainstream Secondary School requires multiple Learning Support Assistants for their SEN provision in September 2025. The school requires staff on short-term and long-term contracts which could be either on a full-time or a part-time basis. The school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with SEN. They are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference with children in specialist settings.

Within these roles, as a learning support assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Create positive relationships with the pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour.
  • Provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other LSAs and the class teachers.

Long-term roles available:

  • Full-time positions (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm).
  • Required to commit to the school on a long-term basis.
  • Interested in securing a permanent role.

Short-term roles available:

  • Part-time and/or full-time positions (Varied/ ad-hoc days - 8.30am-1.00pm/ 12.00pm-3.30pm/ 8.30am-3.30pm).
  • Would be covering emergency/scheduled absences.

The school is keen to consider a variety of staff in terms of experience. You are likely to be successful whether you are an experienced SEN support assistant, a graduate looking for experience in specialist provision, or have current or prior experience as a support/care worker. Ideally, if you have supported individuals with additional needs, that would be desirable; however, this is not essential to be successful.
