As a key people leader in the production directorate, the role reports directly to the Production Manager (PM). In the absence of the Production Manager, the Supervisor/s will have delegated functional and disciplinary authority over the operational program and all colleagues within the department. Strategic and financial decisions will at all times remain with the Production Manager. Dependent on the set-up of the department, the Supervisor may have dedicated functional responsibilities, yet it will remain that the Supervisor has an overarching mandate to support all of the Production Manager's duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for the team/s Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards as laid down by the Quality department and company procedures.
  • To be aware of the site's COMAH responsibilities and to take appropriate actions in the event of an incident.
  • Challenge the team to continuously strive for higher standards and to exceed defined targets.
  • Challenge business decisions professionally and pragmatically to ensure understanding.
  • Once defined, interpret and ensure clarity of business decisions within your team.
  • Be authentic, use rational thinking and data where appropriate to support change.
  • Adapt communication style to ensure effective engagement.
