My client is looking for a proactive and experienced Transfer Station Operations Manager to lead operations. This role is central to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and performance of the site while delivering excellent customer service and fostering a strong team culture.
Role:
- Ensure Health & Safety is always the top priority
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing operations team
- Ensure compliance with site rules and environmental standards
- Monitor waste segregation and extraction targets
- Maintain and manage site equipment and infrastructure
- Foster a customer-focused, multi-skilled, flexible workforce
- Drive continuous improvement through performance review and process optimisation
- Report on productivity and collaborate across departments
Ideal Candidate:
- Leadership, Teamwork, Integrity, customer focus, critical thinking and ideally a proven background in waste/management/treatment or similar
- A good work ethic, commercial awareness, good IT skills, and attention to detail
- Proven experience in waste processing, recycling, or a related industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
