Please note that this is a hands-on role, which requires a consistent on-site presence. Role Purpose: Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of five heritage vessels and associated piers. This role is critical in preserving the company's legacy while ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.  Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance & Engineering: Develop and implement a detailed maintenance plan for vessels, piers, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all operational and safety standards. Oversee inspections and repairs for engines, hulls, mechanical systems, and other vital components of heritage vessels. Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential technical or structural issues before they become critical. Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers for specialist repair work, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Oversee inventory management of critical spare parts and tools, ensuring readiness for emergency repairs. Stay updated with the latest engineering techniques and technologies relevant to maritime maintenance and apply these where appropriate.
