Year 5/6 Teacher

This school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and supportive school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with older primary pupils as they prepare for transition to secondary school – academically, emotionally, and socially. Beginning June 2025.

Duties as a Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant:

1. Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
2. Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
3. Supporting pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND or EAL
4. Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of resources
5. Promoting positive behaviour and fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment

Ideal Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant:

1. Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in upper Key Stage 2
2. A relevant TA qualification (e.g., Level 2/3) or willingness to train
3. Patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
4. A genuine enthusiasm for helping children achieve their best
5. A commitment to safeguarding and child development
