What will I be doing?
You’ll be making sure our STV 1,2 & 3 energy recovery plant is fully operational at all times. Day-to-day, you’ll plan and carry out a range of maintenance activities, leading and developing your team, whilst making sure safety, health and environmental standards are adhered to at all times. A cost-effective approach is important too, but best practice is crucial. Using your knowledge and experience, you’ll lead/mentor junior members of electrical maintenance team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice whenever required.
What are the requirements?
This is a role for a confident professional who has worked in a heavy industry in a hands-on maintenance role before. You’ll have an HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation field (or equivalent experience), and good working knowledge of environmental legislation. A Health & Safety qualification would be great but we’re more interested in your ability to lead a team, explain technical matters clearly, and improve plant availability.
