37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 Monday to Sunday. Shift pattern on a rota: 6.30am - 2.30pm or 11.30am - 7.30pm.

Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls based in Cold Ash, Berkshire. We operate an in-house fully catered service for pupils and staff which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. In addition, we hold numerous catered events and formal dinners each year.

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our busy and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Chef to become an integral member of our kitchen team, assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will have previous experience of working in a similar role catering for large numbers, have a passion for food, and an understanding of food hygiene requirements.

Main Duties:
  • Ensure that fresh food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food hygiene and health & safety requirements are carried out.
