We are now seeking a Facility Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team and help keep our facility running smoothly and efficiently.

The Opportunity

As our Facility Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations of our Cell Technologies Facility. You’ll ensure our specialised infrastructure—including advanced HVAC systems and dry-room environments—is always performing at its best.

This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-paced setting and enjoys collaborating with highly skilled professionals. You’ll manage everything from minor repairs and preventative maintenance to overseeing external contractors and managing building systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Spares Strategy: Manage and maintain appropriate stock levels of critical spares to support uptime
• Contractor Management: Build and oversee a trusted local support network for specialist maintenance tasks
• Scheduled Maintenance: Plan, coordinate, and communicate routine and preventative maintenance to minimise disruption
• Building Infrastructure: Oversee the upkeep and repair of all building services and facility infrastructure
• Logistics & Stock Control: Manage the goods-in process, warehouse, and workshop spaces, ensuring efficient operations

What You’ll Need

✅ Hands-on facility maintenance experience

✅ Competence in small-scale electrical and plumbing repairs

✅ Familiarity with contractor management, including RAMS and PTW (Permit to Work) procedures

✅ Knowledge of control systems is advantageous

✅ A strong sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset

✅ Comfortable working around HVAC systems and specialist laboratory infrastructure

Qualifications & Certifications

• Relevant trade qualifications and/or certifications in electrical, mechanical, or facilities maintenance
• Additional training in health & safety procedures is a plus
