Job Description
HVAC Design Engineer
Due to increased workload my client are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a range of ongoing projects in the HVAC sector
Ideally, they require previous experience in a Building Services role, excellent technical knowledge of the industry and a thorough understanding of all stages of the design process.
Duties:
Accurately design HVAC systems for a range of projects.
Respond to client queries and communicate design progress and changes as required.
Prepare specifications aligned to your designs.
Have a broad knowledge of systems available on the market and be able to confidently recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
Contribute to discussions on developing options for VE.
Liaise with the design team to solve problems and develop solutions.
Be able to work competently in CAD and other relevant programmes.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities if required and report on outcomes.
Support other activities as required.
Contribute to QA procedures.
This role is office-based. There may be the requirement to attend meetings off-site on occasion, should the project dictate.
Requirements:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Relevant experience in Building Services Engineering, across a variety of sectors.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and other drawing packages.
Ability to manage a challenging and varied workload, work independently, and assist team members where required.
