Role Title: Digital Identity Verification Business Analyst

Duration: contract to run until 31/12/2025

Location: Northampton, Hybrid 2/3 days per week

Rate: up to £386.40 p/d Umbrellainside IR35

Role purpose / summary

A digital identity verification Business Analyst needs a mix of technical and soft skills to effectively analyze, implement, and optimize digital identity verification processes. They should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with knowledge of relevant technologies and security concepts.

Key Skills/ requirements

• Must have collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure IAM solutions aligned with organization’s information and cybersecurity standards and principles.
• Defined the requirements for the configuration and management of SSO and MFA solutions to streamline user authentication and improve security across cloud and on-premise applications.
• Proficient in data analysis, data lineage, data profiling, master data management, metadata management, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lake, data lakehouse, data governance, Big Data, AI/ML, reporting and data visualisation.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security and cloud technologies such as Azure (Azure integration and data Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks
• Collaborated with Data Engineers to define data integration and orchestration requirements needed to design efficient pipelines
• Must have worked on digital identity projects, single sign-on’s (SSO), biometrics, retina scans. NOT cyber security

Technical Skills:

• Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and use data to inform decision-making.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) Concepts: Understanding of directory services, identity lifecycle management, and privilege management.
• Familiarity with technologies like REST, SCIM, Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of automation tools and concepts for streamlining verification processes.
• Ability to create clear and effective visualizations to communicate data insights.

Soft Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, documenting processes, and presenting findings.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologies and business needs.
• Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy and security in verification processes.

Other Important Skills:

• Knowledge of Digital Identity Verification Technologies: Understanding of techniques like biometric verification, face recognition, document verification, and multi-factor authentication.
• Understanding of Cybersecurity: Awareness of security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices for protecting sensitive data.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and software development lifecycle principles.
• Project Management: Experience in managing projects, prioritizing tasks, and delivering on time.
• Quality Assurance: Experience in testing and validating verification processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
