We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to oversee the operation and management of our children's residential home. The RI will hold overall accountability for the home's compliance with regulatory standards, the well-being and safety of the children, and the quality of care provided. This leadership position involves ensuring that the home is managed effectively and that all policies and procedures are adhered to, while providing support and guidance to the care team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the children's residential home to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements, including child welfare standards, health and safety regulations, and care home guidelines.
- Acting as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary inspections, audits, and reviews are conducted.
- Leading and managing a team of residential care staff, providing supervision, training, and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Developing and implementing care plans for children, working closely with the care team, social workers, and families to ensure individualized needs are met.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress and welfare of children in care, addressing any concerns or incidents promptly and effectively.
