Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland is looking to recruit a Cat C (Class 2) driver for one of our clients in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is on a temp to perm basis for the correct candidate.
Your day to day role will include delivering and collecting plant and materials; this could be on the beavertail, tipper or on the vans/pick up. You will also be required to keep up the maintenance and cleaning of your own van. You will be required to load and unload the plant and materials and provide general assistance around the yard. You will be secured in a full time position with a friendly, hard working team around you.
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience with plant loading and strapping
- Experience with counterbalance forklift
Requirements for the role:
- Category C/Class 2 entitlement on the driving licence.
- Valid CPC Licence.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Licence.
Rates of pay starting from £13.87 per hour (PAYE). Enhanced rate available for overtime after 8 hours.

- Once you have gone permanent with the client, any work worked after 8 hours, you will get time and half; anything after 12 hours, you will get double time.
