We are working with a leading fashion company based in Leicester, who specialise in delivering trend-led, high-quality garments across women's, men's, and children's wear. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a talented and commercially-minded Jersey and Woven Designer to join their dynamic design team.
As a Jersey and Woven Designer, you will be responsible for creating on-trend, innovative, and commercially viable designs with a strong understanding of fabrics, construction, and current market trends.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop jersey and woven collections in line with seasonal trends
- Research trends, fabrics, and new techniques to ensure designs are fashion-forward and relevant
- Create CADs, tech packs, and detailed design specs for sampling and production
- Liaise with Buyers and present design concepts and collections
- Work collaboratively with the in-house team including garment technologists and merchandisers
- Maintain an awareness of key competitors, emerging trends, and high street activity
- Travel for fabric sourcing and inspirational shopping trips when required
- Ensure collections are delivered on time and to the required commercial standard
Person Specifications:
- Previous experience in a similar design role within a fashion brand or supplier
- Strong portfolio showcasing jersey and woven design work
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
