FINTEC recruit is recruiting for an Operations Director for our client based in Cornwall. You will require experience from FMCG, preferably in the food industry. This is a permanent position with a salary negotiable by experience in the range of £80,000 to £100,000 plus benefits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic and operational leadership, ensuring effective processes, productions and new product processes meeting immediate and longer term company targets.
  • Continuous Improvement, taking facilities to the next level.
  • Develop and lead production, process and engineering teams, able to provide instruction, training and supervision to Managers & Supervisors, identify and develop talent within teams.
  • Achieving KPIs, company standards and driving performance through optimised operations and quality improvements.
  • Oversee functional monitoring of raw material yields, efficiency achievements & reduction of wastage.
  • Oversee the strategic evaluations of capital investment plans & creating a wider pipeline of industry leading opportunities.
  • Compliance to technical systems, including identification, discussion & resolution with the Technical Manager.
  • Food Hygiene, HACCP, GMP and customer standards implemented and maintained.
  • Be the ultimate H&S duty holder for sites, with delegated responsibilities in line with policy and procedures.
  • Conduct regular appraisals in managing staff performance. Set KPIs for performance and development.

Skills and qualifications required for the Operations Director role:

  • Experience at senior level in an engineering/general manager role within FMCG manufacturing food operation business.
  • Degree qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Health and Safety qualification for FMCG.
