My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering and FM Scheduler to join their team based in Maidstone Kent. The role is full time in the office, Monday to Friday, 8.00-17.00.
- Allocate jobs to in-house engineers based on their skills, availability, and location.
- Liaise with the Helpdesk Manager and send engineers to roles to complete and close down jobs when completed.
- Collaborate closely with the Subcontractor Planner to ensure in-house resource is prioritised and only escalate to subcontractors when required.
- Adjust schedules to accommodate urgent callouts, absences, or shifting priorities.
- Ensure all job details are correct and access arrangements, permits, and RAMS are in place.
- Monitor engineer first time fix rates, escalating when needed.
- Monitor engineers' diary throughout the day to ensure that the jobs are being completed on time.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication:
- Book jobs in with customers and confirm attendance and appointments.
- Keep the customer informed on all changes, delays, or re-scheduling.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to emails.
- Act as a point of contact for both customers and engineers for any job-related queries.
Parts & Logistics Coordination:
- Place and track orders for parts and materials required for reactive jobs.
- Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at job sites or with engineers.
- Communicate with engineers to confirm part requirements and delivery details.
- Handle any discrepancies, delays, or issues with suppliers or deliveries, escalating where needed.
- Liaise with Quotes & Procurement Coordinator to advise on supplier performance.
