Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 per annum.

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Looking for a reliable and experienced Facilities Manager to join the team. In this role, you will help ensure that our school site is safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly. You will manage day-to-day maintenance, lead a small facilities team, and work closely with contractors and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support members of the Facilities team.
  • Manage the maintenance helpdesk and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Oversee planned maintenance and compliance checks, keeping accurate records.
  • Work with contractors, obtaining quotes and ensuring good value and quality.
  • Carry out regular site checks to maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Support school operations, including lettings, transport coordination, and space planning.
  • Help manage budgets and keep documents well organised.
  • Take part in the emergency site rota and assist with general tasks when needed.
  • Occasionally drive the school minibus (training provided if needed).

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • Experience managing people or teams.
  • Good IT skills, especially in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Well organised, professional, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • A full, clean driving licence.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Facilities management qualification.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Awareness of asbestos and legionella safety.
  • MIDAS driving qualification (or willingness to obtain it).
