Senior Accountant required. My client is a top 100 accountancy practice based across the country, who are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Derby office. They are a progressive, proactive, and friendly accountancy and advisory practice with over 80 people in the Derby office. My client provides a broad range of support and advice to businesses and individuals, on a local, national, and overseas level. Senior Accountant Job Overview Prepare financial statements from client source records, completing the necessary supporting schedules for managers to review. Complete regular bookkeeping for clients, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as necessary. Be involved with planning work for relevant work assignments. Guiding and advising trainee / junior staff in the department and delegate work where necessary. Chase up outstanding queries with clients and to ‘progress manage’ their own assignments. May be required to travel to clients’ premises. Some overtime is required from time to time. Suitable candidates must have previous experience working in an accountancy practice and be ACA/ACCA qualified/part-qualified.
