We are looking for a Strategic Planner to join our Strategic Land team, based in our Chorley office. Story Homes are undergoing an exciting period of growth. We have secured a number of sites from the market and have several sites and planning applications which we are looking to bring forward across the business, to help achieve our aim to have at least 60% of our homes delivered from strategic sites. This has created an opportunity within the business for an enthusiastic Strategic Planner to join the team.
This role will involve working collaboratively with the Senior Strategic Planning Manager to prepare planning strategies for current and future portfolio sites and take these forward via Local Plan policy promotion and planning applications. The successful candidate will support the Story Homes vision and growth plans by assisting the Strategic Land team in the planning promotion of the strategic land portfolio.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of planning experience related to housing (within housebuilding, consultancy, land promoter or local authority) and an accredited degree ideally in planning or the built environment. Our ideal candidate will have excellent problem solving and research skills and a can do attitude. As the sites are located across the north of England and southern Scotland, a willingness to travel for meetings and site visits is essential. RTPI accreditation is desirable as we can provide mentor support for the APC process.
