Our client is a multi-disciplined, major projects contractor with an enviable client and projects portfolio for London schemes. Due to the acquisition of new projects and schemes in Central London, they are keen to identify a Temporary Works Engineer/Coordinator.

As Temporary Works Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating the specification, design, approval, checking, installation, maintenance, and removal of all necessary temporary works.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Agree RAM's with Project Stakeholders and Designers/Consultants.
  • Ensuring detailed design briefs are produced, in relation to site activities.
  • Advise the permanent works designer of any temporary conditions, or loads, that should be considered in the permanent works design.
  • Ensure that a satisfactory Temporary Works design is carried out. Ensure that the design is independently checked for concept, structural adequacy and compliance with the brief.
  • Issue designs and calculations to required parties in accordance with the document management site system. Ensure all TWC info is adequately maintained within the site management systems.

A relevant construction or civil engineering degree is mandatory as well as TWC industry certs or accreditations. Excellent communication skills with a healthy appreciation of SHEQ. Computer literacy along with excellent numerical and TWC calculations are a must.
