Nestled within 7 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the newly refurbished Brownsover Hall Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with 47 rooms. Our mission is to create a destination that offers an unforgettable experience, combining elegance, exceptional service, and serene surroundings. We are striving to become a top-tier, sought-after destination where guests are treated with the utmost care and attention.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales and Events Manager to drive both sales and event bookings for Brownsover Hall Hotel, positioning us as the premium venue for both corporate and leisure clients. This key role will be responsible for showcasing our boutique offering for all types of events from weddings to corporate meetings ensuring each event reflects our high standards.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for curating memorable events, building strong client relationships, and driving business growth through creative and strategic sales. This role is part-time (suggested 3 days per week) with core hours of 9am-5.30pm. Evenings and weekends as and when required.

THE ROLE:
  • Develop and implement a tailored sales strategy to increase occupancy, drive business growth, and establish Brownsover Hall as a top-tier boutique destination.
  • Promote both corporate and leisure offerings, balancing these to highlight the hotel's unique character and personalised experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding organisers, and local businesses, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and accounts to expand the hotel's customer base.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of events, from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up, ensuring every event meets our high standards and exceeds guest expectations.
  • Work closely with clients to develop bespoke event packages, including weddings, meetings, conferences, and private celebrations, ensuring all requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Attend and represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions, ensuring Brownsover Hall is a key player in both the local and wider market.
  • Work within the local community and engage with local businesses to secure corporate clients and promote the hotel's offerings.
  • Regularly monitor performance, including room night usage and monthly sales reports, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at every stage of the sales process, from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up.
THE PERSON:
  • Ability to drive sales through strategic decision-making and a solid understanding of market trends and customer needs.
  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the hospitality or luxury sector.
  • Proven experience in an end-to-end event capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of the local and corporate market, with a keen understanding of what sets a boutique hotel apart from larger chains.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating an unforgettable experience for clients.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and ensure alignment with the hotel's overall goals.
  • A flexible approach to market conditions, with the ability to adjust sales strategies to maintain long-term growth.
  • A natural problem-solver who is calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues.
  • A charismatic personality, able to build rapport.
