The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for local operational teams who deliver the day to day aspects of Repair and Maintenance of the water network. You will supervise the teams – ensuring that the work is delivered safely on time, within budget and to our client’s expectations.
In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to our work. You will ensure that work is carried out in a manner, which builds the confidence of developers and adopts a ‘right first time’ approach. Satisfaction of developers is measured through a new regulatory measure called C-MeX. You will work closely with Severn Trent Water.
Key Responsibilities
- Have operational supervisory responsibility for a designated group of Repair and Maintenance teams, and their daily activities.
- Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absence management.
- Manage all other resources e.g. materials and plant.
- Ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs.
- Visit teams at local site level – reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards are adhered to.
- Carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing operational teams to reach their potential.
- Complete Team Inspections ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focus on quality and right first-time operational delivery.
- Be a Health & Safety Representative; undertaking health & safety inspections in and around the workplace, raising health and safety related matters with management and investigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when they occur.
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e. NRWSA at supervisory level.
- Health & Safety qualification would be an advantage.
- Good management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
