Salary - £50,000 to £65,000 plus £6180pa Car Allowance

The Package:

  • Salary banding (Dependent on experience) £50K - £65K
  • Monthly car allowance - £515 / £6180pa
  • Annual holidays 32 days
  • Company contribution to Pension - 4% (On completion of probationary period)

  • Discretionary Incentive scheme (This is dependent on Individual and company performance)

Role

Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor responsible for the commercial management of projects for internal and external clients.

In this role you will be responsible to the Head of the Commercial department.

Experience / Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

HND / HNC / Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Innovation

Ability to review new methods of working which drives efficient behaviours and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

This will include, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Awareness of the different Forms of contracts.
  • Advising on procurement strategies where applicable.
  • Review contract conditions and report concerns or recommendations to the Regional Directors.
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating agreement of contract documents for new projects appointments.
  • Preparing subcontract documents and procurement of subcontractors.
  • Managing costs on Mechanical and Electrical projects.
  • Undertaking costs value analysis including cost value reporting and submission of monthly applications.
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control.
  • Identify, analyse and prepare responses to commercial risks.
  • Price up variations (assisted by PMs) and obtain agreement with clients.
  • Compile programme based cost to complete / project budgets.
  • Presentation of final accounts to Regional Directors for sign off.
  • Provide commercial advice to the operational team as and when required.
  • Assist senior management with the preparation of contractual claims.
  • Be aware and understand the companies Health and Safety procedures, promote the same to the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
