The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in engineering or physics, with lab experience (desired). Experience in both dry and wet lab environments, particularly in test design, execution, and analysis, is beneficial. You should be able to understand technical and scientific requirements, propose effective solutions, and achieve challenging goals within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Accurately record, analyse, and interpret experimental data.

  • Contribute to the development and testing of nebulisation technologies, with a focus on optimising drug delivery systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Present findings in weekly meetings and contribute to scientific publications.

BSc/BEng in Engineering, Physics or a related field.

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in drug delivery, medical devices, or similar fields.
  • Strong understanding of experimental design and data analysis.
  • Experienced in generating calibration curve, design of experiments, statistical analysis, and reproducible data using equipment such as the Next Generation Impactor (NGI) and laser diffraction system (desirable).

Software:

  • Microsoft office package including Word and Excel.
  • Experience of preparation of data and presentation in a concise and representable manner.
  • Experience with programming is desirable (Python and microcontroller IDEs such as Arduino).
  • Experience with statistical analysis is desirable (Excel, Minitab or similar).
