Job Title: Youth Justice OfficerLocation: EnfieldEmployment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per weekRate: £29 UmbrellaWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working available; occasional weekend and unsocial hours required

Overview:Enfield Youth Justice Service is a high-performing, multi-disciplinary partnership committed to excellence. We are seeking experienced and dedicated Youth Justice Officers to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in youth justice to contribute to a service that prioritises safeguarding and risk management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' experience working within the Youth Justice System (YJS)

  • Proven ability to write Pre-Sentence Reports (PSRs)

  • Proficient in carrying out assessments using AssetPlus

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management

  • Able to deliver high-quality, sequenced interventions aimed at reducing reoffending

  • Capable of preparing Referral Order and Breach reports

  • Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skills

  • Experience working collaboratively within multi-agency settings

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends where necessary

  • Commitment to high standards of professional practice and continuous service improvement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review

  • Write high-quality PSRs and other statutory reports in line with court requirements

  • Undertake comprehensive risk and needs assessments using AssetPlus

  • Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce reoffending and manage risk of harm

  • Ensure all work is compliant with safeguarding policies and procedures

  • Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate services and interventions for young people

  • Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development

  • Contribute to service evaluations and audits to maintain high practice standards
