About the Role
As a Mobile Responder, you’ll respond to calls from service users who require urgent or non-urgent assistance—whether it’s helping an uninjured person who has fallen, performing safe and well checks, or installing and maintaining telecare equipment. You will work across a flexible rota, including day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
This is a dynamic and varied role that includes:
- Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls from vulnerable adults in the community.
- Safely lifting uninjured fallers using specialist equipment (training provided).
- Installing, programming, and maintaining telecare equipment.
- Conducting home visits to carry out health observations and basic assessments.
- Providing professional call handling and triaging of alarm activations.
- Supporting care homes and healthcare professionals with lifting assistance.
- Using IT systems to update client records, complete reports, and communicate with other services.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Experience working in a call centre, health, or social care setting.
- Confidence in handling emergency situations with empathy and professionalism.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle for work use (or willingness to drive council vehicles).
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends.
