About the Role
The primary role of a VMS Driver is to deliver and collect Variable Message signs in London and the surrounding areas, to maintain the VMS up to a good standard and to deliver in a safe and orderly manner.
Working Hours: 8am – 5pm including a 30-minute break.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver & collect the variable message signs in an orderly manner to be considerate of the traffic & personnel whilst out on the network.
- Assist the Hire side with deliveries and collections of traffic lights and batteries, all training will be given.
- Trouble shoot any eventuality when deploying the VMS, comms breakdown and displays.
Key Skills
Essential:- Towing experience is not essential, but a good knowledge of deploying trailers would be ideal, full training will be provided.
- Overnight stay and some working away when asked.
- Knowledge of traffic laws.
- Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
- Experience with different vehicle types.
- Proficient with GPS and map apps.
