The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Working for a supplier of automotive parts, this small, established and very successful business has created this new position of Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in the day to day management of the warehouse, as well as being hands on in a range of associated duties. This is an initial 3 month contract, with a view that it will become permanent.

You will help ensure efficiency and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity, being involved in everything from forklift truck operation to offload deliveries through to assisting in the management of 10 staff and close liaison with the office functions, such as procurement, administration and sales.

This position requires strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, the ability to liaise between departments, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and a calm approach.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Forklift licence, either counterbalance or reach, preferably both
  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
