We are currently recruiting for a Supply Planner to join our award-winning partner on the outskirts of Chester. This is a fast-paced role that requires a deep understanding of the supply chain process, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills along with strong Excel and analytical skills. You will need to be customer-centric and have a positive, can-do attitude. Have excellent time management and effective task planning.
- The ideal person will have worked in a food retail environment.
- You will be required to manage the stock, ensuring this stays within budget (including stock that has been removed from the shelf or discontinued) alongside managing the budget for stock that has been reduced or wasted.
- Be aware of the anticipating factors and demand plan for seasonal events, weather, and promotions.
- Working with Company KPIs and budgets to ensure a continuous supply of goods for all sales channels.
- Daily management of supplier orders and depot goods in.
- Managing capacity, ensuring it is not exceeded.
- Build and manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships (Buyers, Merchandisers, Depot planning teams, Suppliers, Hauliers, and other third-party providers).
- Generate item and product group forecasts (Collaborating with internal teams).
- Collating and interpreting solid data, to support recommendations.
- Ongoing Supplier management including measuring and reporting on performance.
Skills:
- Maximise product availability across your allocated range of products whilst keeping both stock levels and shrinkage within budget.
- Agile problem-solving ability having the ability to think outside the box.
- A good understanding of the Supply Chain process.
- Detailed understanding of both the Warehouse and Store Replenishment systems.
- Takes responsibility for own development and requests training or coaching when appropriate.
