Scotland 6 months – outside ir35 planning, estimating, budgeting, and controlling project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects stay within budget and meet deadlines. You will analyse project data, forecast expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The role requires communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Creating detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and other resources, including the ability to forecast project costs.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing project budgets, tracking actual expenditures, and providing regular assessments of project costs and forecasts.
- Cost Control: Monitoring project costs, identifying potential cost overruns, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing project data, identifying cost drivers, and evaluating the effectiveness of cost-saving strategies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost goals are met, communicating cost information and supporting management decisions.
- Risk Analysis: Identifying and assessing potential risks related to project costs and developing mitigation strategies.
- Report Generation: Preparing cost engineering reports, including cost variance reports and trend analyses.
