SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for work in Lowton? Tradewind are recruiting for a one-form entry Primary School in Lowton who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work full time 8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday, with daily pay rates £89-£99. This role is to work 32.5 hours per week from September working for the full academic year.

This school is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive EYFS team, within school there is a sense of togetherness and unity. This role is to work 1:1 with a child within Early years. Your role will be to support a child with Autism (ASD) on a 1:1, the child benefits greatly from a calm and consistent approach supported by visual timetables, now and next provisions, sensory breaks and pictorial cues. The child has an EHCP which is implemented alongside advice from the speech and language specialist.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
  • Experience of working with SEND
  • Experience of the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of the intervention strategies
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
