Job Summary: As a CCTV and Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for the small remedial works, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of CCTV systems, access control systems, and related security equipment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our clients’ premises are secure and systems function efficiently. The workday starts from home, avoiding the need to commute to one of our offices, you will go straight to site. You will be required to have a flexible approach to work hours to meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure CCTV and access control systems (IP & analogue)
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues remotely and onsite
- Provide remote support and phone support to some of our clients
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations
- Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure job specifications are met and installed to company and industry standards
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain detailed records of work completed and ability to provide detailed reports where required.
- Have a can do attitude and ability to manage your own diary and schedule
Requirements:
- Proven experience in CCTV and access control installation with experience in maintenance and fault finding minimum 3 years
- Knowledge of systems such as Verkada, Avigilon, Hikvision, Paxton, Salto, TDSi or similar
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- ECS/CSCS card preferred, however, not essential
- IPAF preferred, however, not essential
