Our client provides high-quality lighting, audio, video, and scenic solutions to the live events industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a passionate and skilled Lighting Technician to join their team in Borehamwood.
The Role
As a Lighting Technician, you will be a key part of our project delivery team, working across a diverse range of live events. This role offers variety, creativity, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and operate bespoke lighting systems on-site to the highest standards
- Programme and operate lighting consoles (GrandMA, Avolites, or Chamsys preferred)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Liaise with clients and venues to ensure seamless project execution
- Supervise subcontractors and uphold company standards
- Support project planning, equipment preparation, and maintenance
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
What They’re Looking For
- Strong background in performance lighting for live music and events
- Proficiency with at least one major lighting console platform
- Solid understanding of rigging, power/data distribution, and general production techniques
- Basic electrical theory knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Bonus: Experience in audio or video production
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with initiative and a client-focused attitude
- Full UK driving licence highly desirable
