My client is a leading supplier and maintainer of diesel-powered equipment across Scotland and England. They are looking to bring on board a Service Engineer to look after their diesel equipment and ancillaries across the Peterborough area. The successful candidate will be familiar with diesel engine maintenance, will have experience across fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair and will be based locally to Peterborough You will need a full UK Driving License for this position Service Engineer Position Overview To service equipment on customer sites and to respond to call-outs when needed To work closely with the Hire Controller, Driver and Fitters to ensure all hires proceed smoothly To work on the repair and maintenance of pumps and other diesel equipment To service, repair and overhaul equipment and associated components both within the depot, at customer premises and third-party sites To assist with the loading and unloading of pumps and generators onto the lorry for deliveries through the use of Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck Complying with all relevant health and safety procedures Travelling throughout the Peterborough area Service Engineer Position Requirements Diesel engine maintenance experience is essential Previous experience in a Service Engineer position is ideal, or be happy to travel for the role First-hand experience with Fault Finding, Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair CSCS Card desirable Happy to take part in 1 in 3 call out rota Full Driving licence Based locally to Peterborough Service Engineer Position Remuneration Salary £28,000 – £31,600 + call out pay at £120 a week Company Van, Fuel card, Specialist Tools provided 40 hours a week Monday – Friday 8:00 – 16:30 33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays Life insurance Product training PensionBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
