An opportunity has arisen within this growing manufacturing company for a Buyer/Planner to be based at its site between Nuneaton and Hinckley.
THE ROLE
Reporting into the Production Manager your role will be to support the planning of production across this busy manufacturing company on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all stored inventory data within ERP system
- Purchasing management and stock control of raw materials and electronic manufacturing components.
- Raise purchase orders in line with ERP demand.
- Support the Production team and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
- Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
THE PERSON
The role of Buyer/Planner is designed to support the manager in the day to day purchasing duties of the factory as well as to support supply chain and scheduling. You will need experience of using a manufacturing planning tool such as MRP/ERP/SAP etc and have good purchasing skills.
