Talent UK are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of their client, a successful and growing privately owned company providing sub-contract engineering of metal components to a wide range of customers. The new state of the art factory in Slaithwaite, outside Huddersfield, is equipped with the latest technology. The company offers the right candidate the opportunity to benefit from a growing and worthwhile career path.

What are we looking for:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC) with experience working as a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical OR Multi-Skilled) within a manufacturing business.
  • Ideally will be Electrically biased with 17th/18th Edition, but will be expected to do mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic work in a heavy engineering environment.
  • Previous experience maintaining various factory equipment, machinery, and plant.
  • Basic IT skills to log work on CMMS system and write reports where necessary.
  • A candidate who can work as part of a small team and independently.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work to strict deadlines and high-quality standards.

Your Duties will involve:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities in order to facilitate the move from breakdown to planned maintenance on site.
  • Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
  • Participate in the construction, installation and commissioning of new plant/machinery and upgrades.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, schematics, manuals and parts catalogues.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Work with teams on continuous improvement projects.

Hours of Work:

The role operates on Days Monday to Friday - 40hr week. Overtime Saturday and Sunday may be required.
