A Legal Advisor (Counsel) role reporting into the General Counsel as part of a talented team, working on broad commercial matters across the business. You will work collaboratively with business stakeholders including finance, procurement, operations and compliance, advising on complex legal and industry regulatory matters. You can expect to negotiate and review business-critical commercial contracts, work on NEC contract matters, advise on public procurement issues and get to grips with specific regulatory matters that affect the business. Additionally, you will gain exposure to corporate finance and governance matters that will broaden your skill set, while also playing a part in the business' ongoing ESG commitments. The role entails coming into the London offices usually three days per week, as part of the business-wide hybrid working arrangement.

You will be a qualified lawyer in E&W with in-house experience and c. 5+ PQE (as a guide only). While industry-specific experience is not required, the business is keen to speak to lawyers with regulated sector experience and the ability to navigate related conversations. Experience with public procurement matters is considered a significant bonus. You will have proven experience in performing broad commercial roles, encompassing negotiating contracts, managing stakeholders at different levels and being confident in taking on work that might be new to you. You must be able to work from the London office on a hybrid basis (usually three days) and you must have unrestricted UK working rights.
