A leading force in the world of Electrical Solutions is currently expanding and is looking for a Switchgear Commissioning Engineer to join them on their journey. A global business, they offer a range of services, including the manufacturing of AC/DC Solutions, transformers, substation equipment and others. They’re also responsible for the design, construction, and commissioning of HV electrical infrastructure within the UK Network, with over 200 HV projects, through their engineering services business. They’re incredibly well known in the Electrical Engineering world for their innovative and industry leading switchgear products, and this is an exciting chance for an Engineer who has experience with Switchgears to progress their career.
You will be responsible for commissioning, fault diagnosis, inspection, and repairs of their Switchgear products on Customer sites. This role will include travel and staying away as it is customer site focused. Van and fuel card provided along with food allowance and all hotel stays covered by the business. Even if you don't have experience within commissioning, but have some exposure to switchgears and come from an electrical Engineer background they will train you up on that side as well as the MV/HV aspect.
What will you be doing:
- Repair, maintain and commission the companies suite of switchgear products.
- Testing/Commissioning switchgears up to 33kV.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and rectification on switchgear products.
- Supervise customers on-site staff if needed.
- Carry out risks assessments and record details on site.
What experience do you need?
- Experience working with switchgears, whether that’s install, maintenance, commissioning or exposure.
- Good customer service skills.
- Full driving licence.

- Tiered pension- If you put in 2.5 they’ll put in 5.5, if you put in 3.5 they’ll put in 6, if you put in 4.5 they’ll put in 7.
