Applause IT are hiring for a Senior .NET Developer for a growing software house delivering enterprise-scale solutions in the online gaming space. Their platform is built using the latest Microsoft technologies and used globally by clients across sectors including banking, energy, and government.
As a Senior .NET Developer, you will join a distributed engineering team and be responsible for full lifecycle development across both frontend and backend systems. You will contribute to architectural decisions, advocate for modern software engineering best practices, and help mentor more junior developers.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET 6, ASP.NET Core/MVC
- Frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (Angular, Vue, or React)
- Design and develop APIs and backend logic using SQL Server and MySQL
- Collaborate in an Agile environment (Scrum, Sprints, Stand-Ups)
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing (XUnit, NUnit), and CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity)
- Work closely with international colleagues across engineering, DevOps and QA
Skills & experience:
- 5+ years of Full Stack experience using the Microsoft stack
- Strong front-end skills using HTML5, CSS3 and a modern JS framework (Angular, Vue, or React)
- Proficient in SQL development including procedures and query optimisation
- Experience with source control tools like Git
- Exposure to Cloudflare, AWS, Terraform (bonus)
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like ElasticSearch, Rollbar or Sentry
- Mobile-first mindset and security-aware development
- Experience with high-traffic, highly available applications
